A six sided CNC boring machine built for one-pass cabinet production

The TT-M6 is a through-feed six sided CNC boring machine designed for cabinet, wardrobe and panel furniture manufacturing. Two drill banks - one above the working table and one below - together with horizontal drilling units on the X and Y axes let the machine complete the top face, the bottom face and all four edges without releasing the panel.
Because the workpiece is clamped once and never turned over, hole positions stay consistent from the first piece to the last. Floating clamps retract intelligently around the drilling path, so the same machine handles a 3050 × 900 mm wardrobe side panel and a 40 mm wide filler strip with equal stability.
The result is a shorter production route: one operator, one loading position, and one cycle that delivers a finished panel ready for edge banding.

One six sided CNC boring machine covers edge drilling, up-and-down face drilling and grooving.

Why the TT-M6 six sided boring machine pays for itself

Every design decision on this six sided drilling machine targets one goal: removing handling steps from a cabinet panel without giving up positioning       accuracy.

Six faces in one clamping

Upper and lower drill banks plus horizontal heads finish every surface in a single pass, so the panel is never flipped or re-datumed.

19 vertical spindles

Ten spindles in the upper bank and nine in the lower bank, both running at 18,000 rpm for clean, tear-free holes in melamine and veneer.

8 horizontal spindles

Horizontal drilling units on the X and Y axes machine dowel and connector holes in the panel edges during the same cycle.

Intelligent double clamps

Floating clamps sense and avoid the drilling path automatically, holding narrow rails and full-size sides with the same grip.

80 m/min traverse

Fast X and Y positioning cuts idle travel between hole groups, which is where most of a batch cycle is actually lost.

Steel ball air flotation

Panels glide on an air cushion over a plated table surface, protecting finished faces from scratches and making heavy boards easy to position.

How the six sided drilling cycle runs

From loading to sorting, the TT-M6 six sided CNC boring machine completes the panel in five steps - with the operator involved only at the start

Top, bottom and all four edges in one program

The upper drill bank machines the top face and the lower bank works the underside, while the horizontal units reach the four edges. Because all three groups are driven from the same part program, a hinge cup, a shelf-pin hole and a dowel hole in the panel edge are positioned from one coordinate system instead of three.
That single reference point is what makes the six sided CNC boring machine practical for custom work: change one dimension in the CAD file and the whole set of holes moves with it. There is no second setup to re-enter, and no accumulated tolerance between operation.

One datum, three drill groups

Face holes and edge holes are positioned from the same coordinate system.

No flip-over.

The panel is released once, at the end of the cycle - not between operations.

Change one number, move every hole.

Editing a dimension in the CAD file updates the whole pattern.

Configuration of the TT-M6

The build specification below is what separates a general-purpose drilling center from a production six sided drilling machine.
Precise upper drill bank of the TT-M6 six sided CNC boring machine

Precise upper drill bank

Ten vertical spindles on the upper head, guided on a rigid beam for repeatable depth.
Precision drill spindles with quick-change tool holders on six sided boring machine

Precision drill spindles

Quick-change tool holders keep bit changes fast when a job switches between panel types.
Steel ball air flotation table on the six sided boring machine

New pressure beam

Holds the panel flat through the cycle so the drill bank maintains a constant depth.
Electrical cabinet with servo drives on the six sided drilling machine

Precise electrical cabinet

Servo drives and PLCs are laid out for service access and stable positioning accuracy.
Pneumatic rubber wheel feeding device on the six sided CNC boring machine

Pneumatic rubber wheel feeding

Rubber wheels move panels in and out without marking the finished surface.
Steel ball air flotation table on the six sided boring machine

Steel ball air flotation table

An air cushion under the panel reduces friction for heavy boards and delicate faces.
Manual code scanner for panel identification on the six sided CNC boring machine

Manual code scanner

Scan the panel label and the matching program is called up automatically.
Intelligent double clamps with floating avoidance on the six sided boring machine

Intelligent double clamps

Floating clamps avoid the drilling path and adapt to both large panels and narrow rails.
Electroplated working table surface of the six sided CNC boring machine

Electroplated working table

A hard, low-friction table surface resists wear and keeps panels sliding smoothly.

Materials and applications

The TT-M6 six sided drilling machine is used wherever a panel needs holes on more than one face and the finished surface has to stay clean.
MDF
Plywood
Particle board
Melamine board
PVC board
Acrylic
Solid wood

Typical production

Kitchen cabinet carcases, wardrobe sides and shelves, office furniture, bathroom vanities, flat-pack panels and custom joinery. Two-in-one and three-in-one connector holes, hinge and shelf-pin patterns, through and blind holes, and horizontal grooves are all completed in the same cycle.
The same six sided CNC boring machine also mills and grooves standard square boards and shaped panels, so curved and shaped components no longer need to be pulled out of the line for a separate operation.

Software and workflow integration

The control system on this six sided CNC boring machine runs on a PC platform with CAD drawing and CAM import built in. Files can be loaded directly in DXF and MPR/XML, and the machine docks with most well-known design and nesting software used in cabinet production.
A manual barcode scanner links each physical panel to its program: scan the label, the right job loads, and the operator does not key in dimensions. For a mixed batch of thirty different cabinet parts, that alone removes the most common source of wrong-part drilling.

Certification and build quality

The full TingTing product line, including the TT-M6 six sided CNC boring machine, holds EU CE safety certification and complies with the applicable machinery and low-voltage directives.
The machine is manufactured in-house, which means the drilling configuration, voltage, branding and even the complete production cell can be adapted to a specific plant through OEM and ODM cooperation.

Frequently asked questions

What is a six sided CNC boring machine?

A six sided CNC boring machine is a machining center that drills, grooves and mills all six surfaces of a panel without releasing it. Two opposing drill banks work the top and bottom faces while horizontal heads reach the four edges, so hinge holes, shelf-pin holes, dowel holes and connector holes are produced in one clamping instead of several setups.

Which panel materials can the TT-M6 process?

MDF, plywood, particle board, melamine-faced board, PVC board, acrylic and solid wood. The 18,000 rpm spindles and controlled feed keep the edges of melamine and veneered panels clean, which is where a lower-speed machine usually causes chipping.

What is the smallest panel the machine can handle?

Minimum panel width is 40 mm and minimum panel length is 230 mm. At the other end the working range reaches 3050 × 900 mm with a maximum thickness of 32 mm, so one machine covers both full wardrobe sides and narrow rails.

Does it replace a separate side drilling machine?

For most cabinet and wardrobe work, yes. The eight horizontal spindles on the X and Y axes machine edge holes inside the same cycle as the face holes, so the panel no longer has to move to a second machine for edge drilling.

Which software formats does the control accept?

DXF and MPR/XML files can be imported directly, and the system supports CAD drawing and CAM import. It docks with the mainstream design and nesting software used by cabinet manufacturers, and job programs can be recalled by scanning a panel barcode.

Do you provide installation and training?

Yes. Support includes online technical assistance, installation guidance, commissioning and operation training, so the production team can run the six sided drilling machine independently after handover.

What is the delivery time?

Most standard products are held in stock. Lead time for a custom-configured machine depends on the specification and is confirmed when the order is placed.
