The main body of a sliding table saw includes the bed, worktable, longitudinal and transverse guide plates, main saw, scribing saw, and transmission components. Its structure and working principle are largely similar to a regular circular saw, and it can be used independently as a regular circular saw.
The components of a sliding table saw are:
1. Frame;
2. Main saw section;
3. Grooving saw section;
4. Transverse guide plate;
5. Fixed worktable;
6. Sliding table;
7. Beveling guide plate;
8. Bracket;
9. Beveling angle display device;
10. Lateral guide plate.
Another key structural feature of the sliding table saw is that the scribing saw blade and main saw blade remain stationary. The movable worktable, made of aluminum profile carrying the workpiece, is manually pushed back and forth to perform the sawing process. Due to the special structure of the guide rails of the movable worktable, manual feeding is easy and labor-saving, and the machining accuracy is very high.
The bed of a sliding table saw is mostly welded from steel plates with a thickness of 5-6mm, which is stable and aesthetically pleasing, and can ensure that it does not tilt or twist during sawing. The fixed worktable is fixed to the top of the bed, made of casting, and is required to be flat and non-deformable, and is equipped with a longitudinal cutting guide and its adjustment mechanism.
