Contour tracking technology requires high precision in both mechanics and programming, and only a few domestic companies possess mature solutions. Laser edge banding technology, pioneered by HOMAG in Germany in 2010, uses high-temperature laser processing to rapidly weld the cut surface and edge banding together, creating a near-seamless effect. It is glue-free, environmentally friendly, produces smooth, even edges without glue residue, and exhibits good heat resistance, lightfastness, and durability.
PUR edge banding forms a three-dimensional cross-linked network during moisture curing, resulting in a tight and strong structure. The glue application is approximately one-third that of EVA edge banding. It offers good environmental performance and is irreversible, possessing high bonding strength and resistance to high and low temperatures. It does not delaminate within a temperature range of -30℃ to 130℃, and the glue lines are fine and almost invisible, offering a superior aesthetic compared to EVA edge banding. The dual-color, no-clean PUR glue pot uses a unique glue door and diversion scraping technology to prevent sawdust clogging, ensuring even and stable glue application. The dual-color glue pot can simultaneously hold two different types or colors of PUR glue, allowing for instant switching via an intelligent control system. The integrated bevel and straight edge design supports 45° full bevel and bevel-straight edge sealing. The minimum workpiece size for narrow plate edge sealing technology is 200*40mm, guaranteeing a 35mm edge seal with a thickness of 8-60mm.
The intelligent control system can control key parameters such as opening function, glue pot, edge sealing belt channel, conveyor speed, and glue pot temperature in real time, and records all data throughout the process, generating visual reports through the MES system. High-end models are equipped with a servo control system and laser pre-milling device, achieving ±0.1mm accuracy.
